I GOT IN.. The Academy Of Freelance Makeup!!

I want to thank everyone for reaching 400 followers! I haven’t been blogging as much as I would have liked to the last couple of weeks, but I have been moving and it took up much more time than I thought!

I Got In!!

aofm

I’m so excited to share that I GOT INTO THE ACADEMY OF FREELANCE MAKEUP!!! I’m starting their Complete Artistic Pro course in January, which is 5 intensive weeks of training, 6 days a week where you learn Makeup, Hairstyling, Nail Art, Airbrushing and Special FX.

The Academy Of Freelance Makeup in London

This school is the most amazing beauty school I have ever been looking at and it’s in London so I can’t wait to go back to London!

If we go back in time to around January where I got a lot of beauty books from the library and I found this amazing book named “Makeup Is Art” written by the AOFM and I first learned about the school. The book was so beautiful and inspiring, but I was sure I couldn’t afford a fancy school like this one.

A couple of months late...

Matrix Exquisite Oil Review!

Hi everyone!

So I’m one of those people who just can’t live without hair oil! Ever since hair oils came out and they suddenly became a big thing I was hooked.

I have tried a couple of different ones and I have to say my favorite so far is the Orofluido Beauty Elixir! It has the perfect texture, doesn’t make my fair greasy or heavy and it smells wonderful!

I have never tried the most famous of all hair oils, the Moroccanoil as I always thought it was a bit too expensive and then I read this blogpost from The Cupid Bow about the silicon in Moroccanoil and now I don’t want to try it.

The Matrix Exquisite Oil

I recently bought the Matrix Exquisite Oil on sale from Beautybay 50% off and have been using it ever since. The smell is again lovely (not as good as the Orofluido one) and it’s really easy to use as it comes with a little pump.

I do feel that I need to think about how much I use of this as my hair sometimes get a bit greasy from it and heavy, which is such a downside.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Rita Ora Nail Polishes Review!

Hi everyone!

I have been gone for a couple of weeks, but hopefully I’m back now. I have been enjoying summer, but also not feeling myself a 100% which is also why I haven’t taken much part in the Twitter Chats and other blogging activities, but it’s time to get back to reality now.

Rita Ora Nail Polishes

I recently bought two of the 60 Seconds Rita Ora Nail Polishes from Rimmel because the colors are so beautiful. You can get the perfect summer pastel colors, but the range also carry some lovely colors for fall.

I got Pillow Talk (the one I’m wearing in the picture) and White Hot Love (the lovely white color). I have been really impressed by the colors, they are so pigmented especially for such light colors and the staying power is great as well, which is around a week.

The only complain I have about these nail polishes is the brush, which is useless! I made a mess with both colors, but other than that I can only recommend them.

Have you tried this range of nail polishes?

Battle Of The Eyeliners!

Hi everyone!

Today I’m doing a little high end versus drugstore gel eyeliners. I will be comparing Lancôme Long Wear Calligraphy Gel EyeLiner and Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner.

Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner

The Maybelline eyeliner is around £8 and is a highly popular eyeliner. The texture of the eyeliner is perfect, it’s not too hard or fluid, but just right and easy to work with. It’s really pigmented and the result is great!

Lancôme Long Wear Gel Eyeliner

The Lancôme eyeliner is around £20 and it’s not as well-known as other gel eyeliners like Maybelline, Mac and Bobbi Brown. I got this eyeliner for only £5 at a sale, which is the only reason why I bought it.

In the beginning I didn’t like much since I thought it was a too hard to work with as it’s a bit more stiff than the Maybelline one and I was used to Maybelline. The color payoff is the same as with the Maybelline one, so I wasn’t really impressed.

Which is better?

Here comes the re...

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Review!

Hi everyone!

Today I’m sharing my experience with the Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skincare series. I bought the entire line for combination skin back in January on sale where I got 50% off everything.

I have been trying it out ever since and I’m now ready to do a review, as I feel like I have used for a long time now.

I have actually gone through the entire series and used every single product up.

Products In The Series!

The series starts with an exfoliating cleanser, which feels nice and it’s not too hard on the skin so you can easily use it every day.

You then use a toner to remove anything extra on the skin. I don’t feel like this toner is special in any way as it just feels and smells like a normal toner.

You then use the skin serum, which I didn’t like at all. This was the first serum I ever used and I didn’t really get the point of it...

My Haircare Routine!

Hi everyone!

Today I thought I would do a little haircare routine blogpost. My haircare routine at the moment is a bit over the top as I’m trying to get through some products to make room for some new.

Heat and UV Protection

I do my haircare routine when I get out of the shower and my hair is still wet. I start by using Tresemme Heat Protection spray and then I use Senscience Brilliant Defense Protective Shine Spray, which is an UV protection spray I add during summer.

I wouldn’t want to be without my Tresemme Heat Protection because I really feel like it makes such a difference, but I don’t know about the Senscience Protective Spray it feels and smells amazing, but I’m not sure it makes a difference, so I probably won’t be repurchasing it.

I then add my Matthew James Leave in Hair Mask this product feels great, but it’s one of those products I just want to use up and I won’t be repurchasing it.

Hair Oil and Scalp Relief

I then add my Orofluido Beauty Elixir, which i...

My Favorite Mascaras!

Hi everyone!

Today I really wanted to share my favorite mascaras with you all! I think mascara is the most important product in a makeup look and I would love to hear more about which ones are your favorites!

Lancôme Definicils Mascara

I used to buy more expensive mascaras, but now I’m only buying drugstores because they are so good! Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Mascara used to be my favorite mascara, it’s perfect for long and full lashes, but it’s also really expensive.

I now have the Lancôme Definicils Mascara, which I probably won’t repurchase, but since I have it I’m loving it for the lower lashes. The brush is tiny and it’s great for details, it’s also good for the lashes in the inner corners because it gives so much control.

Maybelline The Falsies

Maybelline The Falsies is a blogger favorite and I love it as well! I love length it gives and you can build it up for fuller looking lashes. It’s also really easy to use and the brush gives such a good control...

8 Top Makeup Brushes!

Hi everyone!

I don’t know about you, but I’m a brush junkie! I love my makeup brushes and I have so many because I believe a good brush can last forever and can make almost every product work.

All my brushes are from Real Techniques, Mac, Zoeva and Nilens Jord (a Danish cosmetic brand). I decided I wanted to share my favorite brushes for creating every look.

Face Brushes

Left to right: Nilens Jord Powder Brush, Real Techniques Blush Brush, Real Techniques Buffing Brush, Zoeva 110 Face Shape Brush.

My powder brush is a big fluffy brush and it was actually the first “expensive” brush I got and I still use it every day for my powder. I think it’s important that a powder brush is big and soft.

My second brush is the Real Techniques blush brush, I love this brush for so many reasons! The brush is good for many different things because of the tapered end...

Spring & Summer Nail Polishes!

Hi everyone!

Today I really wanted to do a blogpost on some of the spring and summer nail polishes I think everyone should own. I don’t think you should have exactly same nail polishes as I do, but just some in the same color range.

The Perfect Green

I definitely think everyone should have a gorgeous green pastel color. I have Essie Apple Mint Candy, which I love! I’m a huge fan of green and this color just covers everything you need for good weather and a happy day!

Going for Pink

I also think people should have pink nail polish to brighten up every look. I have Essie Lovie Dovie and I’m so happy with it, the perfect hot pink nail polish!

Staying with the pink tones I think a nude kind of pink is great too. It’s a nice color to have on your nails and it will work with everything outfit you choose. I have Tanya Burr Mini Marshmallows, which is the perfect color for me and my skin tone.

The Purple & Blue

A purple color is a must for me too...

My Garnier BB Cream for Summer!

 photo garnierbbcream_zpsf6359268.jpg

Hi everyone!

As summer is upon us I have been changing a few things in my everyday makeup routine. When the weather is nice outside I don’t always feel like wearing a thick layer of foundation, so I have been using BB Cream instead.

I’m actually not a huge fan of BB creams and I don’t feel like they have good enough coverage, which is why I never got around using my entire bottle of Garnier BB cream from last year.

It might not be the best thing in the world to use an old BB cream, but we all have makeup we should throw out (at least I think we do)?

Getting the right coverage!

My skin is so bad right now that I actually went to the doctor to see if he could help. Even though my skin is really bad I have found a way to use my BB cream and still be satisfied with the coverage.

I start out with using the BB cream all over my face to even out my skin tone and then I move on to my Mac Select Cover Up concealer which covers all the imperfection and I finish off with my Rimmel Stay Mat...
