Divergent Review!

Divergent finally opened in Denmark today! I have been so excited since I read the book back in 2012 and I have just been waiting and waiting and waiting ever since. Today was the day I finally got to watch the film and I’m so happy.

Actors and actresses

I’m really happy by with the actors and actresses they choose for this movie! I was a bit skeptical about Theo James as Four to begin with, but he did such a good job that I ended up loving him. The movie also includes Shailene Woodley (main character Tris), Miles Tiller, Kate Winslet, Tony Goldwyn, Ansel Elgort and Maggie Q and I especially love Maggie Q (brilliant as Nikita).

Review of Divergent

I think the screen writers did a great job of capturing the book and I don’t feel like they missed some major parts of the book like with Harry Potter and Twilight. I do feel like the movie was a bit slow some parts and felt a bit long, but I think it’s because they tried to get as much of the book in it, which the readers of the book will love, but I don’t know about people who haven’t read the book.

I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone and they removed a lot of the violent from the books if you are nervous about that, which I’m so happy for! Some parts were just too much in the books and I’m glad they left them out so everyone can watch it.

Have you read or watch the movie yet?

Side note; Shailene Woordley and Ansel Elgort plays siblings in Divergent, but you can watch them as girlfriend and boyfriend in The Fault in Our Stars later this year.

That’s great that you liked that movie! I haven’t read the Divergent book or seen the movie, not quite sure what it’s about really haha but I saw a lot of promos for it leading up to it’s release date in theatres! Might have to see what it’s all about :)

It’s about a dystopian world, I really like the theme of what the world can become. You should check it out :)
