May Spending Ban Update!

Hi everyone!

As some of you might know I started a May Spending Ban in the beginning of May and now that it’s June I thought I would do a little update so you know how it went.

It went okay it could have been better, but I’m happy with how it went. I ended up buying a mother’s day gift, hair powder, hair oil and a pair of sunglasses (I have a subscription to Elle Magazine so that’s not part of what I bought).

Mother’s Day Gift

I don’t seeing buying a mother’s day gift as breaking my spending ban since it was a gift and not just another thing for myself. I used some money on some nice natural and organic spa products for my mom.

Matrix Hair Oil

I then bought Matrix Biolage Exquisite Oil on Beautybay because they had 50% of this hair oil. I’m almost out of my Orofluido hair oil and I can’t live without some kind of oil. I thought I can buy this now on sale for 8 pounds and break my spending ban or I can buy an expensive oil next month for 15-20 pounds, which is a bit stupid so I ended up breaking my spending ban for the hair oil.

Hair Powder and Sunglasses

I got the got2b Powder’ful Volumizing Styling Powder and I have absolutely no excuse for getting it, except I really wanted to try a hair powder so that was it. The sunglasses were only 1 pound in H&M so I couldn’t resist, but again I have no excuse, but you have to admit it was a great deal!

So this is how everything went and I think it’s okay, I didn’t buy any makeup or go overboard with anything. I have decided to keep on going when it comes to not buying things I already have. I can’t buy and try any new foundations, mascaras, hairsprays, skincare products, etc. before I used up some of my old products.

Have you ever done a spending ban and how did that go?

I’m proud of myself, hopefully I can keep going with not buying things I don’t need :) Good luck for July!

You did so well with this, I would have no hope with a spending ban at all!

Thank you. It takes a bit commitment to get through, but I have been shopping a too much this month now. Thankfully it’s only clothe, which I actually needed so it’s okay :)

It sounds like you’ve done really well! Well done :) I don’t think I could do it, even though I maybe should!

Thank you. You could always try and if you then found a few things you needed, it wouldn’t be the end of the world :)
