May Spending Ban!

Hi everyone!

I feel like I have been spending a lot of money the last couple of months buying makeup and skincare from the internet that I’m now doing a spending ban. I have of course also been spending money during some shopping in real life, but I don’t really know where all my money went.

Have any of you been doing a spending ban recently and do you have any tips?

I have done so many hauls lately that I will now be doing some other posts here on the blog because of the spending ban. Last month was kind of a spending ban, but not really as I took a vacation to Malaga, which was actually where I used most money.

Please leave any help for me in the comments below!

  • I’m doing the same thing too (no money may), and it’s my first time attempting it! Definitely hard, but I keep going back to my collection and try playing around with things. My ban might be a little different than yours too, as I’m banning myself from makeup, but not skincare (skincare is always worth the $ to me!). Stay strong, and make lists of things so you can check up on them when the month is over. I’m considering writing my ‘wants’ on pieces of paper and putting them all in a jar. Then once it’s June, I might pull them out bit by bit.

    • It’s such a good idea to write a list with things you want for June and then you can see if you still want them by then! Skincare is always worth the money, I just have so much to go through so I have to do that first πŸ™‚ Good luck with your spending ban, let’s see how it went for us in June!

Spending bans are so tricky, ’cause you’re always thinking about it… I can go days without buying something, just by accident, but when I’m trying not to buy, there are suddenly so many things I need! πŸ˜›

    • Totally agree, but even when you are not on a spending ban you always end up buying some things every week or every other, so it always end up being more than expected πŸ™‚

  • Maybe I should try doing that. I’m doing it this month so I can update you all at the end of May, but maybe I should start doing it after too πŸ™‚

Well done on starting your spending ban. I couldn’t even try one, I’d be setting myself up to fail! Whenever you get urge to spend add the item to your wishlist and then you can treat yourself at the end πŸ™‚

  • That’s not good! It’s almost payday now thankfully! The spending ban is not going too well, so maybe not well done πŸ˜‰
