Elle and Blair Fowler – Where Beauty Lies Review!

Today I wanted to do a book review. The famous vlogger and blogger Elle and Blair Fowler released their second book back in August named “Where Beauty Lies.” I ordered my book back in August and after waiting forever because it was sold out and later lost in the mail I finally got it Mid-September. By that time I was really invested in the “I Heart Series” by Lindsey Kelk, but in the end I finally came around to read it. Just wanted to say the book is as beautiful as the first one!

Beneath the Glitter & Where Beauty Lies

If you don’t know the series it’s about the London sisters Sophia and Ava London. They are Youtube stars, who moved to L.A. to work on their brand London Calling. They are also “It” girls, releasing beauty products and clothes (sounds similar, just like Elle and Blair).

The book continues just shortly after the first one left of...

The Fault in Our Stars Review

It seems like John Green’s book “The Fault in Our Stars” is the book everyone is reading and talking about. It was a hit in 2012 and 2013 and with the movie coming this summer staring Shailene Woodley, I’m sure everyone will keep talking about it.

I decided to read it between Christmas and New Year, so here goes my review on The Fault in Our Stars.

the fault in our stars book review

For those of you who don’t know the story, it’s about a 16 year-old girl named Hazel. She was diagnosed with cancer when she was 13 year-old. One day when she attends a support group for cancer kids, she meets Augustus Waters a good looking guy who also suffers from cancer.

When I first started reading the book I had this idea about how everything was going to go and end, but I was taken by surprise and nothing was like I expected it. I really liked the book, it was good and easily written...

Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paint Review

Hi everyone!

I have been gone for so long, but I’m back and will start to post more often again. I lived in London for four months last year and I basically didn’t have much Internet. I couldn’t even use Skype to call my family. When I got back to Denmark everything was a bit stressful with my exams and Christmas.

Now I’m back and with a review on Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Paint. This product isn’t out in Denmark yet, I bought in London before I left and I’m really impressed by it. I was a bit skeptical about buying it in the beginning, but my friend talked me into it. I’m so glad she did because it is amazing!

It looks weird and feels weird to put on the eyelids, but when it’s on it is beautiful!

The texture is really nice and smoothe and it’s easy to blend. When it dries, it stays on forever. It doesn’t smudge and you can slide your fingers over it without anything happens.

This of course means that you have to blend it before it dries, but that’s really not a pr...

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation Review!

Hi people!

I recently bought the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation. I have been a fan of the Stay Matte Powder for years. When I saw Rimmel launched this foundation I just had to try it.

rimmel stay matte foundation

Unfortunately this foundation turned out to be so bad, that I won’t ever be able to go trough the bottle.

It is really thick which makes it really hard to buff into the skin and when it is finally all over your skin, it looks like a cake. Then I tried putting on the Stay Matte powder afterwards and it will just look even worse. As soon as you touch your skin the foundation will slide around so you will end up with weird spots around your skin.

The only nice thing to be said about this is that it’s full coverage, no need for concealer and it actually stays matte all day, but that’s about it.

Have you tried this foundation?

Btw. I know it looks really light on my hand. I had an assistant at Boots swatch it on me and she recommended this colour...

Sleek Face Form Review!

I recently bought this Sleek Face form palette. It contains a bronzer, blush and a highlighter. I have been trying all three things out, alone and combined.

I really like the bronzer! It’s been great for during my contour which I expected since it’s a face former. It’s a dark mate brown that you can build up after how strong of a contour you are going for. (I can really recommend this with the Real Techniques contour brush)

This highlighter is great. It’s light and shimmery and again you can build it, but I have just been using a light dust of this.

Well, the blush itself looks beautiful, but I just don’t get it! It’s really shimmery and who wants all that shimmer on the apple of the cheeks. It might work alone without the other twos, but then the combination of the three and the face form doesn’t make sense.

I really like the bronzer and the highlighter and I think you get a great deal since it isn’t expensive, but the blush I just don’t ge...

Kiko Make up Lipstick Review!

Have you ever tried Kiko Make up Milano? It is relative inexpensive and they make so many different products. I found a store here in London and they had a sale like about 70% of many of their products. That’s where I found this lovely lipstick for only 2.5 pounds, so inexpensive! I have used it a couple of times now and I’m really surprised by the quality of it. It’s highly pigmented, moisturizing and stays on for a couple of hours really a lipstick I would recommend!

Do you know this brand?

& Other Stories Lip Gloss Review!

I bought this beautiful pink lip gloss the other day at “& Other Stories” if you don’t know this shop it’s a part of H&M’s concern with Monki, Cos and Cheap Monday. They opened “& Other Stories” in the spring and it is makeup, soap, cleansers, accessorize, shoes and cloth. I really liked the store and all the design and I spent a lot of time looking around, they have so many beauty products that I don’t even know what they all do and it’s also environmentally friendly.

Back to the point, I bought this pink lip gloss called Angora Pink, it’s a light pink gloss and it’s really pigmented, the only thing I don’t like about it is the applicator, it’s a weird shape for your lips and it makes it hard to use on without a mirror.

Have you bought anything from & Other Stories?

L’oréal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution Review!

Hi everyone!
The weather in London has been so good this week except for some rain this has made it great for just going around in London and seeing all the tourist places.

I bought the L’oréal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution the first day as a makeup remover after reading about it on someone else’s blog (I can’t remember who it was). I have never tried the famous Bioderma makeup remover, but this product should be something like it and it looks and feels the way I would imagine the Bioderma would feel and look. I have been loving this product so far and I love how naturally it feels the only downside is that it can’t remover waterproof mascara.

Have you tried the L’oréal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution or the Bioderma? What did you think?

La Roche Posay Effaclar!

Today is a post about three products I used up. I bought the La Roche Posay Effaclar line, which is for oily skin with imperfection a couple of months ago. I used the Effaclar Foaming Gel, the Astringent Lotion Micro-Exfoliating and finished with the Effaclar Duo. I had read many great things about these products and that’s why I decided to buy them.

I really like the feeling and smell of these products and how clean my skin feels afterwards, but I don’t think I will be repurchasing these products since I have some pigments around my skin that this product just won’t get rid off, that’s why I’m looking for a new skincare line and I would love to hear your opinions.

Please leave any suggestions in the comments below!

Sally Hansen Just Feet Spa Foot Mask Review!

I had a really big headache yesterday so I didn’t feel like blogging or doing much. I decided to do a little at home spa for my tired summer feet. I have had Sally Hansen Just Feet Spa Foot Mask in my drawer for so long and I finally used it yesterday for a little treatment. I started with a little foot bath so my feet were soft and clean and then I applied the mask for about 10 minutes, washed it of and moisturized my feet.

The mask had a nice texture and I liked the smelled, my feet were really soft afterwards and felt great. I don’t think the Sally Hansen Just Feet Spa Foot Mask did a big different, I believe that a normal foot bath with some foot salt or anything will do just as well. It wasn’t easy doing a mask under my feet since you can’t walk or anything so I don’t think I will do this mask again, but it’s not because it’s bad just that it wasn’t easy and didn’t make a huge different.

Have you tried this foot mask?

Also look at this pretty watermelon, it was so deliciou...
